It hurts to say it, but yes indeed the Greyhounds came from behind to take the championship out of the grasp of the Rednekz hands.  With a 3-2 lead heading into the third period, the mighty Greyhounds took control in a span of 4 minutes and turned the scoreboard upside down in an 8-4 romp.  "They just kept coming....it was like a runaway locomotive"....was all Rubberarms Brannagan could say.  "winning and losing is the outcome, it's the journey that counts" is a quote from an obviously wise coach....and that is exactly what the Rednekz know.  The journey was great. Not too often does a team come together and do what the Rednekz did Sunday afternoon.  After getting destroyed Saturday by the Greyhounds, the Rednekz did what their coaches knew the players could do all along....and that was comeback and play their best game of the season.  With their backs against the wall, the team pulled out a 3-1 victory and forced a deciding game next weekend. It was the first loss of the season for the Greyhounds, which only makes the feat that much more exciting for the Rednekz. Game one is in the books and the Rednekz cannot wait to shut that chapter down and start another one.  The final score was 6-0, and the damage was done within a 8 minute span in the first period.  Offense was hard to comeby as the Greyhounds were much more puck hungry and showed more team speed.  Game two is Sunday and you can expect more from the Rednekz.  "We just need to play a better team game, control the puck more and move it around....position, pressure and a little bounce here and there".... What an exciting weekend!  It came right to the end to decide the outcome of the championship series....as it turns out, Rednekz/Grey....Black/Yellow....Blue/White. But it was a nail-biter right to the end!  The Rednekz lost to Grey 4-1 Saturday and beat Black 4-2 on a playoff/tournament style finish to the round robin playoff. Great puck movement, solid goaltending and some fantastic individual and team play resulted in two outstanding games. Everyone have a safe march break....exhibition games during the break...I will be on the beach both weekends...see you for the final three ...

It was a good weekend if you are a Rednekz.....and there was NO hunting at all!  Just good hockey.  The results on the weekend, a tie and a win and 3 more points.  The playoff picture is very tight with all 6 teams playing fantastic hockey.  Seven goals on the weekend for the Rednekz.  Now, they must concentrate on solid defensive play if they hope to continue next weekend.
