ENTRY LEVEL OFFICIALS & ADULT LEVEL OFFICIALS

For those of you that are new to refereeing or have been out of the system for more than one season, you will need to register for the "Entry Level" clinic. You can fill out an application located here on the site. You will also need a police record check in order to attend.

Anyone interested in becoming a hockey official for BRDMHA must contact Referee in Chief, Andrew Finlay, to ensure that there is an open spot on the roster for the upcoming season. There are a limited number of games each season so we can only accommodate a few new officials each year. A reference from a recent/current hockey coach and/or a current BRDMHA Executive member is recommended.

For anyone that is 16 years old as of December 31 of the current year, we recommend that you work in the timekeeper’s box for at least one season prior to taking the Entry Level referee course. This ensures that you have an understanding of your responsibility and the importance of accurate game sheets.

Every January, applications are available to apply to be a Referee
Please contact Andrew Finlay if you are interested.
