The Randy Merton and Dan Holland Memorial Tournament is one of the premier U10-U13 (Atom and Pee Wee) AA & A level tournaments hosted in the province of Ontario. Each year more than 60 teams compete across the offered divisions. Often teams will return the following year as a result of the hospitality and first class facilities offered at this tournament.
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ALL PLAYERS, TEAM MEMBERS, COACHES, MANAGERS, PARENTS, and SPECTATATORS
It is understood that the purpose of this event is for the participants to have fun. It is a priority of the organizers and BRDMHA that everyone involved maintains a positive experience. It is also understood, that behaviours from anyone attending this event, that may negatively impact another's experience, will not be tolerated.
It is understood that the concepts of winning and losing, sport, competition, and the emotions that surround these concepts, MUST remain positive at all times.
It is understood that that teams and its members must be accountable for their behaviour while attending any of the 3 venues, and also while staying at our host facilities.
Negative behaviours may include, but are not limited to the following:
-Abuse of an on ice official
-Abuse of an arena employee
-Abuse of a hotel employee
-Abuse of a tournament volunteer
-Abuse of any member of any opposing team
-Abuse of any member of your own team
-Any comment or gesture that is negatively perceived as race based
-Any comment or gesture that is negatively perceived as gender based
-Any language that could be perceived as obscene, vulgar, or explicit
Complaints will be directed to the tournaments committee. And all decisions made by the tournament committee will be final without appeal.
All conduct issues will be reported back to a teams home association for further review.
REMEMBER... your fun, cannot be at the expense of someone else's.

All venues will require proof of full vaccination (plus 14 days) for all players and spectators entering, 12 years old and older.
Contact your host hotel for their policy.

All tournament and game rules will follows those outlined in the OMHA rules manual.

Tournament Format
-Round Robin Groups (2 games of Friday, 2 games on Saturday)
-Semi Final and/or Finals on Sunday
-Round robin games are 1 hour (10-10-10) ST.
-Sunday games are 10-10-15 ST.
Round Robin Standings
-5 points will be awarded for each round robin game (6 points for a shutout)
-2 points for a win
-1 point for a tie
-1 point for winning a period
-.5 point for a period tie
-1 bonus point awarded for a shutout
Sunday Playoff Qualification
-The top 4 teams in the standings (after each team has played 4 games) will advance.
EXCEPTIONS
-Only the top 2 teams will advance to a final in the U12 A division
-The top 4 AA teams will advance from the U13 AA/A round robin standings
-All 4 U13 A teams will advance to Sunday
Sunday Playoff Structure
All semi final games will feature the following:
-1st seed vs. 4th seed
-2nd seed vs. 3rd seed
All finals will feature the winners of the semifinal games.
The U12 A final will feature the 1st seed vs. the 2nd seed
Home teams will be the higher seed based on final round robin standings.

No Advantage to goal differential (other than a game win and period win)
Referee decisions cannot be protested
Referees are employees of an independent agency, and not employees of BRDMHA
Awards
-Player participant gift (to be given at teams first ATC game)
-Player of the Game awards for both teams in all round robin and semi-final games
-POTG awards are given to coaches prior to the game, and awarded to players by the coaching staff.
-POTG can be decided by own staff or opposing... coaches may decide prior to game.
-Championship and Finalist medals
-Take home plaque to all champions and finalists
-Award presentation style TBD
VENDORS
There will be a tournament photographer located at the ATC. There will be displays and packages for purchase.
Venues
The Atlas Tube Centre is a brand new facility featuring 3 ice rinks. The feature Rock Rink is home to the Belle River Canadiens Jr. C hockey club.
The WFCU Centre is a modern and recently new facility featuring 4 ice rinks. The Bowl Rink is home to the OHL Windsor Spitfires and hosted the 2017 memorial Cup Championship.
Forest Glade Arena is a community based facility with 2 ice rinks. It is the former home to the Jr. B Windsor Bulldogs.
Food and Beverages
Concessions at all venues will not be open
Please refer to Google Maps or similar to find retailers, such as TIM HORTONS, that are close to the arena.
There is a possibility outdoor vendors will be available at ATC (food trucks)
