Belle River District Minor Hockey would like to welcome a couple new members to our Team. Please give them a warm welcome when you see them around the rinks.
Mark Cadotte - Technical Director

Mark is well known and much respected in the hockey world as a power skating/ "Game Awareness" drills instructor. After having a very successful OHL career, Mark went on to play 10 years professionally throughout the world. After his playing days were over, Mark was part of the Windsor Spitfires two Memorial Cup Championship's staff as Head Skating Coach. Mark was very fortunate to be coached by elite coaches such as Peter Deboer (Las Vegas), Jack Capuano (Las Vegas), Steve Spott (Ottawa) to name a few. As an instructor, Mark is highly respected in the area for working with players at all levels including the N.H.L., Junior and Minor Hockey Association.

- 5 years professional hockey player in Italy and England
- 5 years professional hockey player in Canada and Unites States
- 4 year OHL Grad (London, Niagara Falls & Plymouth)
- 2 Time Appearance Coaching in the OHL Cup (2011&2018)

- Certified Catholic School Board Skills Expert (Hockey Canada)

Pete Crankshaw - Head Goalie Coach/Instructor

Pete has been coaching goalies for the past 12 years. In the last 8 years he began dedicating his attention full time to goalie coaching through his development camps, team practices, evaluations, and 1 on 1 training in our synthetic ice facility. Pete has been a part of many teams providing in season coaching and development, including: Wallaceburg Lakers Jr C, Dresden Kings Jr C, Southwest Wildcats PWHL, and most recently Chatham-Kent Crush Midget AA women’s team where he has overseen the development of Jessie Mcpherson U-18 Team Canada National Women’s Team Goalie, 2 NCAA Division 1 commits, numerous CIS/USports goalies, and PWHL goalies.
Pete has worked with the U-18 Australian National Women’s Team to oversee the the evaluation and selection process as well as provide insight to further develop their goalies for success.
His one main goal in mind; to use innovative and evidenced based teachings to provide the best possible learning environment for young athletes, as well as providing support to the parents who have a major role in their children’s success.
