House League Director and Convenors Needed

BRDMHA is seeking a New Board Member to Join our team.  This Board member would be the director of our House League Programming.

Responsibilities and duties. 

House League Director

Term: 2 YEARS

Experience Requirements

- Knowledge of General Meeting proceedings
- Basic Computer Knowledge – Internet, MS Office
- Knowledge of BRDMHA Constitution, Bylaws

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the overall skill development programs for all participants of BRDMHA based on the Hockey Canada’s Player Development Pyramid
2. Responsible for Atom – Midget / Juvenile House League Divisions. Including coaching selection, player drafts.
3. Work with the Equipment Manager for the Procurement of required equipment for team/coaches
4. Assign Convenors in Atom –Midget/Juvenile Divisions
5. Update Association website with divisional game scores and standings. 6. Have the authority to suspend any player or member of the coaching staff as deemed necessary. A meeting of the parties and the Director of risk Management may be required and the OMHA manual of operations will be used to determine any suspension if needed;
7. Act as director at Large, and assist other directors with various other areas of the association when needed.
8. Attend all monthly board meetings including Semi and or Annual general meeting as scheduled.
9. Position shall be a two year term elected in even number years.
