HOCKEY IS BACK - BRDMHA 2019/2020 SEASON UPDATES

Welcome to the BRDMHA 2019/2020 Hockey Season

HOCKEY STARTS SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14TH


The 2019/2020 BRDMHA house league hockey season officially starts on Saturday September 14th.  Important details regarding what to expect leading up to the start of the season and during the year through our 2020 March Day of Champs is attached.

You can access your division calendars to view pre-season, practice and games schedules.  There may be minor adjustments based on final division team allotments, however it will give you an idea of the assigned dates and times for your division.



As always please double check and ensure your child has the required equipment available and packed ready to go.  MOUTH GUARDS are a must.  If you have any questions on player equipment please visit one of our retail partners such as Belle River Source for Sports, National Sports Tecumseh or Pro Hockey Life Windsor.  If you are in need of equipment and want to save a bit,  you can post a WANTED add on our website classifieds.  With over 800 members someone will be sure to have that used piece of equipment you are looking for.

MITES
- Starts Sunday September 15th (10:30am ATC The Rock).  Our MITES coach development team will be reaching out to parents by Wednesday September 11th to ensure players are ready and schedules understood for the upcoming season.  If your child is enrolled in our MITES program be prepared to be at the arena no later then 30 minutes prior to the scheduled ice time (10:00am) in order for your child to be prepared and hit the ice on time.  Our mites program runs once per week throughout the season (excluding holidays and ATC blackout dates) with an on-ice development time of 50 minutes per session.

INITIATION PROGRAM - Starts Saturday September 14th.  First skates are player assessments by last name.  Please refer to the INITIATION PROGRAM calendar on September 14th and 15th to see what time your child is scheduled based on last name assignments.  Our initiation program is 100% development with an introduction to small sided (cross ice) games in the 2nd half of the season.  

NOVICE MINOR - Starts Saturday September 14th.  First skates are player assessments by last name.  Please refer to the NOVICE MINOR calendar on September 14th and 15th to see what time your child is scheduled based on last name assignments.  Our Novice Minor program is a mix of development and small sided games (half ice) to provide both development and game fundamentals to our players.

NOVICE MAJOR - Starts Saturday September 14th.  First skates are player assessments by last name.  Please refer to the NOVICE MAJOR calendar on September 14th and 15th to see what time your child is scheduled based on last name assignments.  Our Novice Major program is a mix of development and small sided games during the 1st half of the season.  Full ice games are introduced in mid January and on into the Day of Champs.

ATOM - Starts Saturday September 14th.  Team selections are underway and coaches will be reaching out to players by Wednesday September 11th.  Our Atom program consists of development practices and division games.  Playoffs are also introduced for fun competition starting in February ahead of our Day of Champs.

PEEWEEE - Starts Saturday September 14th.  Team selections are underway and coaches will be reaching out to players by Wednesday September 11th.  Our Peewee program consists of development practices and division games.  Division playoffs start in February to prepare for the Day of Champs group seedings.

BANTAM
- Starts Saturday September 14th.  Team selections are underway and coaches will be reaching out to players by Wednesday September 11th.  Our Bantam program consists of development practices and division games.  Division playoffs start in February to prepare for the Day of Champs group seedings.

MIDGET/JUVENILE - Starts Tuesday September 24th.  Team selections to be done after Midget and Juvenile travel tryouts in mid September.  Coaches will be reaching out to players by Sunday September 22nd.  Our Midget/Juvenile program consists primarily of games.  The program runs Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesday evenings.  Division playoffs start in February to prepare for the Day of Champs group seedings.
