Great Effort!!!
What a great effort by the 2007 Belle River Jr. Canadiens in their first ever away tournament.
The boys took their game on the road in the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament. This was the first away tournament for these boys. They were coming off a huge win against the undefeated Windsor Junior Spitfires where they showed amazing determination and team work. When the tournament started the boys were a little nervous but it wasn't long until they were right back in the winning groove. The team won their first three games and had a semi final match up against a team from Hespler which they had previously defeated. It was a hard fought battle that was tied 1-1 after regulation. It ended on a penalty shot which was a tough way for the boys to have to go out. It didn't take long for the boys to shake it off and end the day with some swimming and mini sticks back at the hotel. The boys should be very proud of their efforts, it was a great showing for their very first away tournament. The team continues to work hard in preparation for their next tournament which is at home.
