As of the 2025/2026 season, our U5 program will be run in conjunction with Power Skating by Skate Lakeshore. BRDMHA will supply hockey socks and jersey. Players are expected to supply all other equipment including a mouthguard, neck guard and helmet with full mask.
Saturdays will be focused on Power Skating with a Skate Lakeshore instructor.
Sundays instruction will be run by our BRDMHA coaches and instructors, following the Hockey Canada Guidelines.
At least one parent of every player must have taken the one time Parents Respect In Sport course before the player can go on the ice. This is a requirement of Hockey Canada, not BRDMHA and only needs to be completed once per family AFTER COMPLETING REGISTRATION. One parent of any new player must take the online course. If you are a parent who has already taken the course and you are registering another child for the first time, you must sign in to your Respect In Sport account and link the new player to your completed course. Here is the link to Parents RIS: https://omhahockeyparent.respectgroupinc.com/secure/
New players should submit the New Player Registration Form and wait to hear back from the Director of Registration. Please ensure you supply contact information(email and phone) on the form. Submitting this form does not indicate your child has been registered. This is only the first step in the registration process.
