On Sunday October 30th, as part of
their off ice development, the Bantam AE team volunteered their time and
services to help out the charitable organization "In Honour of the Ones We
Love" with their "Trick or Treat" family Halloween party. The
event was co-hosted by AM 800 and was held at the Ciociaro Club pavilion.
All 17 players participated in the benefit and helped to run activities ranging from Halloween arts and crafts, the Witches' Hat ring toss, Pumpkin Decorating, and or course, handing out treats to the children.
The players are very fortunate that they can participate in travel hockey and they benefit from the community support through bottle drives and sponsorship fundraisers.
On the 30th the players had an opportunity to give back to the community, to promote goodness, and to improve the quality of other people's lives. In the process they learned how to work together as a group improving their teamwork, relational, and interpersonal skills.
