Lavin Goes Blue and Goes Bald for Cancer
The Atom Minor AA Hockey Team has a really special young man on their team and his name is Nick Lavin.
When Nick was three years old he was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and in return was granted a wish from the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Now he is 10 years old and cancer free and wanted to pay it forward. With the support of many people and organizations in Lakeshore and surrounding areas Nick was able to SMASH his original goal of $1000 and presented a check this past week at the Lakeshore Arena to The local Chapter of Make-a-wish for $8000. His Mother Jenn Lavin said his wish was for it to stay local and its already been earmarked for a young lady from the community. Congratulations to Nick and his Family.
